Where physical therapy is self care
You’re not alone! Dr. Rebecca Siegler Marmer specializes in working with individuals with back pain, hip pain, pelvic floor and orthopedic conditions as well as pregnancy/postpartum rehabilitation. She believes in a hands on whole-body, whole-person treatment approach in order to get to the root cause of the problem and partner with clients to get back to what they love doing for a lifetime.
Let’s start the journey back to ‘me’
Are you uncomfortable and in pain?
Are you leaking or having issues “down there”?
Are you sick of feeling like just another patient?
Statements such as these are why Back to Me PT came into existence. Pain, injuries and even pregnancy often lead us to feel out of control and disconnected from our bodies. At Back to Me PT, we work to find the root cause of your problems to get lasting results, ultimately allowing you to leave therapy feeling like “me” again.
This will not be a cold, sterile medical office. We want to create a space that allows you to feel welcomed, safe and heard. This is where true healing happens.
“I’m so tired of being in pain, I just want to feel like myself again.”
“After pregnancy and giving birth, I feel like my body doesn’t belong to me anymore.”
“My mind feels young but my body feels much older.”
Back to Me Origins
A note from me
Welcome! I am so happy you’re here. I want to take some space to introduce myself and share a little about my story.
I was raised in south Florida and my childhood was consumed by tennis! This is where I had my first experience with physical therapy. I had on and off injuries until I got to college where I had two major injuries which resulted in two hip surgeries. These surgeries turned my world upside down because my life as I knew it, my identity as a tennis player, was completely altered. I’ll be the first to admit that I thought PT was boring, time consuming and frustrating. It can really can suck sometimes! I felt this frustration time and time again, until I worked with a PT that truly got me. She listened intently and took the time to understand my goals. This experience changed my relationship with PT as I recognized the power of partnership in healing. PT became so much more than just rehabilitating my hip, it allowed me to start to feel like me again.
The type of physical therapy I believe in, that I practice, is more than just reducing symptoms - it is about creating a partnership and helping clients come back to their bodies, to take ownership back, and get back to life. A whole-body, whole-person treatment approach allows me to get to the root cause of the problem leading to lasting changes!
When I’m not nerding out about PT, you can find me cooking up a big meal, tending to my house plants, learning how to ski and traveling with my husband.
I look forward to partnering with you on the journey back to ‘me’
